However, understanding how Legacy Roofing got to where it is now starts with how I (Chuck Turner, owner & operator) got my start!
Roofing for me started when I was young. Growing up, I had the privilege to work with my father, who owned an exterior general construction and contracting company – making the family trade – replacing roofs!
It was my original plan to take over the family business when I was old enough, but at just 20, sadly, my father passed away. To say this was hard to deal with is an understatement.
Losing my father was not easy, but it ultimately led to a trip out west, founding Legacy Roofing Idaho, and meeting my now wife!

The move to Idaho and starting a Roofing Company!
Taking the leap of faith and having family in Boise, Idaho, I decided shortly after losing my father, that it would be great to get a fresh start.
So I visited Boise and immediately fell in love. I ultimately fell in love with the city and surrounding area and decided to call the place home for good in 2012.
This is where I met my lovely wife and decided to carry my father’s legacy on, just out west!
Working in the roofing industry.
After working in the roofing industry growing up, then again in Boise for over five years – completing every role from sales to production – I decided it was time to take the leap of faith and go out on my own in early 2020!
Legacy Roofing LLC began.
In early 2020, as the pandemic started, I decided, with my family’s support, to start Legacy Roofing! We officially launched in the summer of 2020 and have loved every second! Since starting in 2020, we have completed over 500 roofing projects and even introduced new windows to our services. Our reviews (below) number in the 100s with a 5.0 rating!

- Chuck has been in Boise since 2012, after initially growing up in Northern VA, outside of Washington D.C., for his entire life.
- As a married man with three daughters, Chuck and his family spend their free time together as much as possible and love calling Boise home!
