Roofing in Caldwell
Caldwell is a beautiful place to live and enjoy, known for its rodeo and outdoor recreation, food, and wine. With a population of almost 60,000, it is located in Canyon County and is home to many hard-working Idahoans. As you will see in the photos below, the homes built in Caldwell are unique, with sprawling architecture and size, many of them in the “Rabmler” style.
These large homes often have a combination of gable and hip roof systems, thus requiring expert roofing professionals when it comes time to replace a roof in Cladwell. As one of the trusted and premier roofing companies in the Treasure Valley, we pride ourselves on installing architectural asphalt shingles for homeowners that are reasonably priced and of high quality.
Below are two recent roofs we installed in Caldwell! We hope you enjoy these pictures, and if you ever need help with any roofing project, contact us below!
New Caldwell Roof GAF HDZ Pewter Grey Shingles:
We usually install coal black shingles, but recently, we have been using GAF HDZ Pewter Grey Shingles with Ridge Vent, and High-Profile Ridge Ridge Cap Shingles have been a go-to for many of the Legacy Roofing clients. With our ability to color-match new shingles, we allow homeowners to pick the best color to update their home’s curb appeal.
For this particular roof, the hip-style roof combined with a gable roof on the left of the home created a lot of valleys and ridges to shingle. There were also over 15 pipe collars, vent caps, or other protrusions from the roof that were replaced making the overall project a full roofing replacement in Caldwell!
Overall, this roof was a fun project to watch, and the roofing crew did a fantastic job installing the entire roofing system with care and the homeowner in mind. Once we were done, it was like the roofing team was never there, and the homeowners were excited to see their new, modern asphalt shingle roof!

New Caldwell Roof GAF HDZ Charcoal Shingles:
In addition to the pewter gray roof we installed in the photos above, we also installed a new charcoal roof in Caldwell, Idaho, in early July. Below you can see the highlights from this GAF HDZ Charcoal Shingle roof.
The installation also included ice andwater shield, and a new ridge vent with high-profile ridge cap shingles! Overall, the team was able to knock this out in one of the hottest weeks of the summer in just a matter of a day. The overall appearance looked amazing, however the attention to detail with the ridge caps showed the craftsmanship on this one!

Frequently Asked Roof Replacement Questions
How much does it cost to replace my old roof?
On average, a new roof can cost anywhere from $8,000 on the low end to $25,000 or more on the high end. It is worth noting that all of this depends on a few variables.
These variables can include existing layers of shingles if wood decking needs to be replaced, the type of roof (hip roof vs. gable roof), and the material you choose – shingles or a metal roof.
All that said, the ultimate factor is size! Roofs are measured per 100 square feet, known as a square, rather than the price per square. A home that requires 10 squares will cost less than a home with 15 squares.
How do I pick the right asphalt shingles for my home, and what shingle colors can I choose from?
There are quite a few shingle options, such as three-tab, architectural shingles, and higher-end architectural shingles. Here at Legacy Roofing of Idaho, we use Timberline HDZ asphalt shingles, which include LayerLock™ Technology and the StainGuard Plus™ Algae Protection, coming with a limited warranty (factory warranties vary per type of shingles).
You can read more about Timberline Shingles here and look at the colors.
